On June 30, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that the unit had just announced the continuation of the temporary traffic organization plan on the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway to serve the construction and handling of landslide locations, ensuring traffic safety.
Accordingly, from July 1 to the end of December 31, 2026, the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway will continue to ban passenger cars with 9 seats or more and trucks from 6 axes from circulating.
The remaining vehicles are allowed to travel at a maximum speed of 60 km/h. Especially at the Km50+700 negative taluy landslide location, vehicles are only allowed to move at a maximum speed of 30 km/h.
For vehicles serving construction belonging to the prohibited vehicle group, contractors must have a written or notice of registration with confirmation from the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board sent to relevant agencies to be allowed to circulate.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that at the end of October and November 2025, unusual heavy rain caused landslides at many taluy slopes on the route. Up to now, the Ministry of Construction and the Department of Economic Management - Investment and Basic Construction have basically agreed on handling solutions, and contractors have also completed preparations to deploy construction.
During the temporary traffic organization period, passenger cars with 9 seats or more and trucks with 6 axles will be divided into traffic routes along National Highway 1 for the North-South route and vice versa; vehicles entering Khe Tre commune will travel along DT14B route.
