From January 23 to 25, the State Reserve Department of the Southern Central Highlands region coordinated with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province to distribute more than 878 tons of rice to support people during the Lunar New Year 2025.
The localities in the province receiving rice this time include the districts of Lak, Krong Ana, Krong Bong, Krong Nang, Krong Buk, Ea H’leo, M’drak, Buon Don, Ea Sup, and Cu M’gar. Accordingly, each person is supported with 15kg of rice.
According to statistics from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province, more than 15,400 households with more than 58,500 people need rice support to relieve hunger during the Lunar New Year.
The rice distribution is carried out to the right subjects, in accordance with regulations, publicly, transparently and is closely inspected and monitored.
Previously, the Prime Minister issued a decision to distribute rice from the national reserve to localities during the 2025 Lunar New Year and the New Year holidays in 2025.
Localities that are not allocated rice this time should proactively use their budget to support people, ensuring that no one goes hungry during Tet.
