On April 29, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Lang Son Provincial Police said that the unit had just successfully rescued a driver trapped after a serious traffic accident on National Highway 1.
Accordingly, at 11 pm on April 28, the Fire and Rescue Team (CNCH) Region II received a report about a traffic accident occurring at Km 49+300 National Highway 1, passing through Doan Ket village, Chi Lang commune.
At the scene of the incident, functional forces recorded a strong collision between a tractor truck with license plate 34C-225. 01, pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 34R-012. 89 and a closed-box truck with license plate 98H-011. 53.
The strong collision damaged both vehicles. As for the truck, the front was deformed, driver N.V.T. (from Yen Dung, Bac Ninh) was injured and trapped inside the cabin, unable to escape on his own.
Upon receiving the news, functional forces dispatched a specialized vehicle and 7 officers and soldiers to the scene.
Officers and soldiers had to use hydraulic cutters to cut off the deformed iron frame, creating space to approach the victim.
After about 7 minutes of operation, the police got the male driver out. At this time, the victim was injured, lost blood but was still conscious and quickly handed over to the medical force to be taken to the Chi Lang Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Currently, functional agencies are examining the scene and clarifying the cause of the accident.
