On July 3, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Hue City Police said that functional forces had just rescued a teenage boy who was trapped with his arm in a plastic bead recycling machine at T.L. Production and Investment Co., Ltd. (Phu Ho commune).
At about 3:40 am on the same day, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 4 received a report from the 114 Command Information Center about the incident. Immediately after that, the unit mobilized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene.
At 3:51 am, functional forces identified the victim as Mr. N.K. (born 2009, residing in My Thuong ward), whose left arm was trapped in the plastic pellet recycling machine. Rescue work was urgently deployed with the coordination of the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 1.
At about 8:30 am, medical staff arrived, assessing that it was impossible to continue rescue by conventional measures. After agreeing on the plan between forces at the scene, at about 10:10 am, doctors were forced to perform surgery to cut off the trapped arm to remove the victim from the machine, and then transfer her to the hospital for emergency treatment.
