On September 17, the Central Road Project Management Board said that the traffic diversion plan through Gianh bridge on National Highway 1 will be implemented from September 19 to October 25 to serve the construction of replacing the old Gianh bridge bearing at Km625+500.
The above item belongs to the project to repair Gianh, Ly Hoa, Ba Doc, Ba Cua bridges and repair the inspection ladder for some bridges on National Highway 1, Quang Tri province. The investor is Road Management Zone II, the Central Road Project Management Board implements project management; the construction contractor is Hoa Hoang Investment Construction & Trading Co., Ltd.
According to the plan, the traffic diversion time is from 7-10 am daily. The preparation and installation of the cone system, bridge blocking, and road blocking for the first time will be carried out from 7-10 am on September 19.
During the normal construction period, traffic is still maintained according to the approved plan. The old Gianh bridge is only prohibited during the period of serving beam lifting and lowering and works requiring special safety control.
When the old Gianh bridge is closed, vehicles will travel in both directions on the new Gianh bridge on the right side of the route.
For the North - South direction, vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 when reaching the intersection of the road to the Gianh Ferry Relic Area, the section from Km625+320 to Km625+110, will be guided by the regulating force to narrow from 2 lanes to 1 lane, going into the right lane of the new Gianh bridge. After crossing the bridge, vehicles will re-enter National Highway 1 and continue to go south.
In the South - North direction, vehicles reaching the intersection between DT. 2B and National Highway 1, the section from Km626+735 to Km626+815, will be guided to narrow to 1 lane, going into the lane on the left side of the new Gianh bridge. Passing the bridge, vehicles will rejoin National Highway 1 at the intersection of the road to the Gianh Ferry Terminal Relic Area and continue to move north.
At lane change locations, contractors arrange signs, barriers, cones, reflector devices, warning lights and traffic control forces.
For motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles, before each bridge ban, the contractor and the Central Road Project Management Board, supervision consultants and Road Management Office II. 4 will review the conditions of the site.
The plan also organizes remote traffic diversion to reduce traffic through the construction area. For the North - South direction, at the intersection of National Highway 1 Km621+100 with National Highway 12A, vehicles can turn right along National Highway 12A to enter Highway CT. 01 and continue to the South.
In the South - North direction, at the intersection of National Highway 1 Km645+730 with DT. 561, vehicles are guided to turn left, follow Highway CT. 01 or Ho Chi Minh Road to go to the North.
