Da Nang - By selling durian and candy to raise funds, Tu Tam An Charity Club has raised nearly 100 million VND to bring light to Noc Ong Thai, Tra Leng commune.

Overcoming a dangerous road brings light to the village

In the middle of August, Tu Tam An charity club was still packing each candy tree, separating each durian bag to sell to raise funds. For them, these are not just items but the first bricks for the "Love Power Station" project.

The "Love Power Station" project with an investment of nearly 100 million VND has brought light to 40 households in Noc Ong Thai village (Tra Leng commune).

Ms. Phan Thi Trang, President of Tu Tam An Charity Club, said: "We don't have much but believe that if we really want to bring light to the people, there will be a way. Every big journey begins with the smallest steps.

To get to Noc Ong Thai, the group had to travel nearly 10km of winding, muddy mountain road. Many dangerous slopes, motorbikes cannot go, members have to take turns carrying each solar panel weighing tens of kilograms on their backs.

Electric lights light up the whole village

The sudden rains in the forest did not slow down the volunteer group's footsteps. Ahead is the image of the village waiting for light, a motivation for them to overcome all difficulties. And then the most anticipated moment came.

When the first switch was turned on, the electric lights lit up all over the village amid the cheers of the people. "There is electricity! , the voice of the elderly, the laughter of children echoed in the mountains and forests, dispelling the darkness and fatigue of the whole group.

The project not only brings material light, but also lights up the belief that good things can start with small actions.

From a candy tree and a durian sold at a street corner, Tu Tam An Club, headed by Ms. Tran Thi My Hien and Ms. Phan Thi Trang, has changed the light to a mountainous area of Da Nang City.

This year, Noc Ong Thai has become brighter not only with the lanterns of the past Mid-Autumn Festival, but also with the light of humanity. The club hopes to continue to receive the support of the community to be able to spread the "Love Power Stations" to more villages that are still in darkness.
