Without New Year's Day holiday 2026, hundreds of workers and engineers still maintain the working schedule and closely follow the construction site of Hong Ha bridge (Sub-project 3 - construction of the expressway in the form of public-private partnership under the Ring Road 4 project in Hanoi Capital Region).
Hong Ha bridge is about 4.377km long, crossing Ta Hong and Huu Hong dikes, with the starting point in Me Linh commune and the ending point in O Dien commune.
According to the design, the cross-section of Hong Ha bridge is 24.5m wide, designed with 4 lanes for motorized vehicles and arranged with one lane for motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles on each side.
Prestressed reinforced concrete bridge, including spans for casting spans (main span 135m), Super T access spans, 18 spans for casting spans crossing rivers (main span 90m), 3 spans for casting spans crossing Huu Hong dike (main span 90m).
By the end of December 2025, 2 communes Me Linh and O Dien have handed over 100% of clean land to the contractor constructing Hong Ha bridge.

Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Construction Engineer (Vietnam Ring Road 4 Expressway Construction Joint Stock Company) said that Hong Ha bridge is one of 7 bridges across the Red River in Hanoi that started construction in 2025.
Nearly 4 months after the launch date, the investor is now simultaneously deploying 15 construction teams, working 3 shifts and 4 crews on the construction site.
On the entire Hong Ha bridge construction site, the construction of foundation items and drilled piles of pier structures is being organized. The entire Hong Ha bridge has completed nearly 300 out of a total of 1,000 drilled piles. The current output value reaches nearly 300/4,000 billion VND for construction and installation.
In the general spirit of the city as well as the direct direction of the project enterprise, the contractor has mobilized engineers and workers to construct throughout the New Year with the spirit of doing quickly, ensuring and on schedule according to the requirements of state agencies" - Mr. Khoa said.


In addition to Hong Ha bridge, component project 3 also builds 2 other large bridges, including Me So bridge across the Red River (connecting Hanoi with Hung Yen) and Hoai Thuong bridge across the Duong River (belonging to Bac Ninh province).
Up to now, localities have handed over all clean ground to contractors, and construction work is being urgently deployed.
Construction units strive to open the project to traffic before the opening day of the APEC Conference in 2027, in which, priority is given to deploying interchanges to connect the parallel road, specifically the right turns belonging to Me Linh intersection, Thang Long Avenue, National Highway 6...

For component project 2 - building a parallel road through Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh, the contractor focuses on accelerating according to the direction of the Steering Committee to implement the Ring Road 4 construction investment project.
Component project 2.1 (building parallel roads in Hanoi city), has constructed about 35/53km of asphalt concrete. To date, output has reached about 3,575/4,205 billion VND (about 85%), basically completing the entire parallel road in the second quarter of 2026.
For component project 2.2 (building parallel roads in Hung Yen province), the volume of asphalt concrete paving reached 23/33.65km, the estimated implementation value reached about 867/1,239 billion VND, equivalent to 70% of the total construction value.
In Bac Ninh province, component project 2.3 (building parallel roads) has basically completed the treatment of weak soil 9.37/9.69km, reaching about 97%; the volume of asphalt concrete paving reached about 4.0/31.8km, the total construction value reached about 1,253/2,307.95 billion VND, equivalent to 50%.
It is expected that the parallel road of Ring Road 4 in Hanoi Capital region will be completed in 2026.
