On the afternoon of December 31st, Hanoi city organized a conference to summarize the site clearance (GPMB) work of a number of key transportation projects in Hanoi.
Reporting on site clearance for the implementation of a number of key traffic projects and works in the city, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Truong Viet Dung said that site clearance is identified as a key stage, with decisive significance for the progress and efficiency of capital's transport infrastructure development investment, this work has been implemented synchronously for many key traffic projects, including 7 projects of the Red River overpass and key ring roads and national highways, such as: Ring Road 1, Ring Road 2.5, National Highway 6, National Highway 1A, National Highway 21.
Although the workload is large, the scope of impact is wide and the implementation conditions are complicated, with the drastic involvement of the entire political system, the close coordination of departments, agencies, branches, communes, and wards, site clearance work has achieved many important results, gradually removing prolonged bottlenecks, contributing to fundamentally solving the situation of congestion and fragmentation of urban space, creating a foundation to promote the progress of investment in construction and completion of the city's framework transport infrastructure, which is of long-term significance in urban embellishment and improving the quality of life of the people.
For 7 bridges over the Red River, the city has completed site clearance for 2/7 bridges (Hong Ha bridge, Me So bridge). For the remaining 5 bridges, site clearance work is being implemented synchronously in many wards and communes with a large volume, related to residential land, agricultural land, public land, land related to religious organizations and defense land.
Localities have developed specific plans and roadmaps, committing to the progress of site clearance completion according to each time milestone, basically ensuring the general requirements of the city.
For traffic road projects, the city has completed site clearance for Ring Road 1 (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section) and Ring Road 4 in the Capital region.
Ring Road 2.5, National Highway 6, National Highway 1A, National Highway 21 are being implemented for site clearance on a large scale, wide scope, related to many areas and a large number of households, especially the relocation of graves according to customs and habits.
People's Committees of wards and communes have proactively organized people's meetings, publicly announced projects, counted, developed compensation, support, resettlement plans and coordinated with relevant departments and branches to handle arising issues, striving to complete site clearance as committed.

Regarding tasks in the coming time, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc directed levels, sectors, and localities to focus on synchronously implementing solutions, creating consensus among the people, thereby ensuring the progress, plan, and roadmap for site clearance of projects and works that have been proposed; especially 5 bridge and Ring Road 2.5, National Highway 6, National Highway 1 projects...
Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc said that completing site clearance work according to the plan is very important, which will contribute to reducing traffic congestion, urban embellishment, and urban order. In particular, projects and works after completing site clearance help businesses feel secure in investing; people in the area also have conditions to develop.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc believes that with the experience gained, along with the responsibility and consensus and support of the people, the site clearance work of key projects and works in the city will ensure the roadmap and progress set out.
