HUE - Truong Tien bridge will be repaired in about 150 days and vehicles will be banned from traveling across the bridge at night to serve construction.

On May 28, the Hue City Smart City Monitoring and Operation Center announced that the repair of Truong Tien bridge will begin from June 1 according to the approved plan.

Accordingly, during the construction period, Truong Tien bridge will be closed to all vehicles from 9 pm the previous day to 5 am the next morning to ensure safety for the repair process.

People who need to travel between the two banks of the Perfume River during this time frame are guided to travel through nearby bridges such as Phu Xuan, Da Vien or Cho Dinh bridges.

The construction unit will arrange a system of signs and traffic control forces to limit congestion in the area. In case the city organizes events related to Truong Tien bridge, construction may be temporarily suspended to serve general activities.

The repair item belongs to the Km834 National Highway 1 Project, which was approved by the Vietnam Road Administration at the end of 2025. The repair content focuses on treating rusty and degraded steel components and repainting the entire steel structure to maintain exploitation capacity and extend the life of the project.

Truong Tien Bridge spans the Perfume River, built in 1897 and completed in 1899 under the reign of King Thanh Thai. This is one of the typical architectural and historical symbols of the ancient capital of Hue.
