Son La - After the reorganization, 6 provincial associations will cease operations and merge into 2 new associations.

On January 22, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Minh chaired a meeting to deploy a plan to merge mass associations assigned by the Party and State.

According to the proposal of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee on December 21, 2024, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans, the Association for the Blind, and the Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will be merged into the Protection Association.

At the same time, the Historical Science Association, the Economic Science Association, and the Agricultural and Rural Professions Association will merge into the General Science Association.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Hong Minh requested the associations to urgently complete the merger project, ensuring smooth and effective functions and tasks after the merger.

He emphasized that relevant units need to focus on perfecting the organizational structure, financial plan, headquarters, paying attention to doing a good job of ideological work for cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers, ensuring the progress and quality of the plan to reorganize the apparatus according to the roadmap.
