On August 28, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Nghe An Power Company said that the unit had terminated the contract to book meals with T.L restaurant (Vinh Phu ward) after complaints about the 130,000 VND meal but the quality was not commensurate.
Previously, Nghe An Power Company signed a contract to order 200 meals (priced at 130,000 VND/meal) to serve hundreds of electricity engineers and workers mobilized from many localities to support the incident.
However, on the afternoon of June 28, the workers noticed that the meals were too poor, so they took a photo and sent it to a separate group to report.

Nghe An Power Company worked with the supplier, the restaurant admitted negligence, saying that due to the scarcity of food after the storm, the quality could not be guaranteed. The restaurant then offered to only pay 60,000 VND/meal, then confirmed that it would give away all of the above-mentioned meals for free.
A representative of Nghe An Power Company affirmed that the problem is not money, but the restaurant must promptly inform about the quality of the meals so that the unit can adjust and supplement food to ensure the health of workers. After the incident, the company terminated the contract with T.L and moved to sign with another unit.
The incident caused a lot of outrage on social networks, many opinions said that it is necessary to strictly handle the situation of taking advantage of natural disasters to "reap the reap".

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, contrary to the above incident, Mr. Le Van Hong - owner of Minh Hong restaurant (9B Mai Hac De, Vinh Hung ward) cooked thousands of free meals to serve the environmental workers for 3 days (27-29.8), contributing to supporting the work of cleaning up the streets after storm No. 5.
