On August 27, in Kim Phuc Nghi An hamlet, Vinh Phu ward, the shock force of Hai Phong Power Company brought a crane, coordinating with officers and workers of Nghe An Power Company to urgently repair the low-voltage line system along Can Vuong road that was severely damaged by storm No. 5. Many pillars to prevent broken collapses and broken wires have been replaced with locks, new columns have been erected, wires have been connected, and saws have been restored.
According to Nghe An Power Company, storm No. 5 caused 27 medium-voltage lines and 1,004 transformer stations to lose power, affecting more than 104,000 customers in the old Vinh City area.

Thanks to the support of the Northern Power Corporation, the Central Power Corporation and shock teams from many provinces, by noon on August 27, 25/27 medium-voltage lines, nearly 1,000 transformer stations with 87,000 customers had power back.
According to a representative of Nghe An Power Company, it is expected that on August 27, the entire power grid in the old Vinh City area will be restored, ensuring people's lives and serving production.
Storm No. 5 made landfall, causing severe damage to the power system in Nghe An province. The whole province had 148/178 power lines out of power, 6,169/7,963 transformer stations were out of operation, causing more than 868,000 out of a total of more than 1 million customers to have no power.
The power grid was severely damaged with 32 medium-voltage poles broken, 11 landslide slopes, 425 low-voltage poles broken and 68 poles cracked; in addition, there was 1 transformer station and 1 transformer damaged.
By 7:00 p.m. on August 26, 35 power lines and 2,166 transformer stations in Nghe An had been restored, more than 266 thousand customers had electricity back.
