Struggling to get through flooded points on National Highway 32, cars stall in series

Hanoi - On National Highway 32, there are still deep and prolonged flooding points, making it very difficult for people to move.

On the morning of September 18, Hanoi began to have sunshine after many days of prolonged heavy rain. However, on National Highway 32, there are still some prolonged flooding points.

According to PV's records, flooding still occurs from Tan Tay Do area to Tram Troi town (old) in both directions of the road; from house number 509 Tram Troi town (old) to LIDECO urban area in both directions.

Flooding made it difficult for vehicles to move, and a series of motorbikes stalled. Congestion lasted in both directions of the road.

Sharing with PV, Ms. Hien (old Tram Troi town) said that flooding appeared from the early morning of September 17 after the continuous rain from the night of September 16.

Today it has receded a lot, yesterday (September 17) there was a section flooded to the hips of adults," Ms. Hien shared.

Currently, functional forces are still on duty to drain water and rescue stalled vehicles.

Previously, on September 17, on National Highway 32, flooding was recorded at some sections Km18+500-Km19+000, Tan Tay Do area Km17+100-Km17+650, Km16+500-Km16+900 and Km14+500.

Faced with the above situation, at some deeply flooded locations, the Traffic Police force has deployed warning signs, guiding people to choose appropriate routes and limit moving into areas at risk of unsafety.

At affected traffic points, officers and soldiers proactively regulate, divert traffic, and guide vehicles to move, contributing to limiting congestion and ensuring safety for traffic participants.
