Fire in 21-storey commercial building in Hanoi, nearly 30 people rescued

    On the morning of February 12, the electrical technical box on the 4th floor of the 21-story CTM Complex commercial building in Cau Giay district caught fire, causing panic among many people.

    At around 8am, the electrical technical box on the 4th floor of the CTM Complex building at 139 Cau Giay, Cau Giay district caught fire. Smoke covered the entire floor and poured out through the windows.

    Immediately after receiving the news, the City Police Command Information Center urgently mobilized officers, soldiers and vehicles from the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team - Cau Giay District Police to the scene to organize fire fighting, rescue and relief.

    During the rescue operation, the Fire Police promptly guided nearly 30 people to escape to the roof and down the stairs to a safe area. According to initial information, the victims are stable in both health and spirit.

    The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by authorities.

    It is known that the fire-hit building is a complex of supermarkets, offices and apartments with 2 basements; 3 commercial service floors and 2 towers, including a 21-storey office tower and a 15-storey apartment tower.
