On September 7, Ho Chi Minh City Police examined the scene and investigated the cause of the hotel fire on Tan Ky Tan Quy street, Tan Son Nhi ward, which killed 2 tenants.
The two victims were identified as Mr. N.T. N. H (24 years old, residing in Phu Dinh ward) and Ms. H.T. H (20 years old, from Hue city). During the firefighting process, functional forces guided and rescued many people safely from the hotel.
According to initial information, the fire occurred in the early morning. People discovered the fire, shouted and tried to put out the fire but failed.
The fire quickly broke out, smoke covered the area inside the hotel.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy firefighting.
After a few minutes, the fire was extinguished. Checking inside the hotel, functional forces discovered two deaths. Accordingly, both victims were guests who came to rent rooms at the hotel.
The bodies of the two victims were transferred to the morgue to serve the autopsy.
Ho Chi Minh City Police are examining the scene, clarifying the cause of the fire and related details.
