According to witnesses, the fire broke out in a scrap warehouse containing many flammable materials such as plastic bags and packaging.
Talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Duong Tien Minh - a resident of Quang Ha town, Hai Ha district, who recorded and livestreamed the incident on Facebook - said: The fire broke out quickly, following the wind and spreading to a row of houses made of containers nearby. The fire was controlled after the fire department arrived about 30 minutes later.
According to information from Hai Ha district authorities, the fire started in a scrap warehouse and then spread rapidly.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities dispatched 6 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.
After about 30 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished, fortunately there were no human casualties.
It is known that this scrap warehouse is located under a high-voltage power line and is a place where people arbitrarily gather scrap, not under the management of Texhong Hai Ha Industrial Park.
Authorities are investigating to clarify the specific cause of the fire.
