On January 29, a representative of the People's Committee of Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province, said that a large fire had just occurred at the Venus shoe company (located in Ha Binh commune, Ha Trung district) on New Year's Eve.
According to information, the fire broke out at around 11:30 p.m. on January 28 (ie the night of the 29th of Tet). At that time, the fire broke out in the warehouse (containing processed shoe soles), then quickly engulfed the entire warehouse.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province mobilized many fire trucks, soldiers and officers to the scene to coordinate with the functional forces of Ha Trung district to participate in extinguishing the fire.
After many hours of firefighting, the fire was brought under control at around 4am on the first day of Tet.
It is known that at the time of the fire, workers were on Tet holiday, so there were no human casualties, however, many properties were burned, with estimated damage of several billion VND.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
