On the evening of January 28, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Ca - Deputy Head of Thanh Binh District Police (Dong Thap Province) - reported to the authorities, confirming the fire that completely burned down 3 houses in Tan Thuan hamlet, Thanh Binh town.
According to initial verification, a fire broke out in the above-mentioned area in the afternoon of the same day. Thanh Binh District Police, Town Police and on-site fire fighting forces quickly controlled and extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes.
However, due to the strong fire outbreak, it completely burned down 3 adjacent houses of the residents: Nguyen Tan Giau, Tran Van To and Phan Van Em, all living in the area.
According to the statements of 3 households whose houses were burned, the total estimated damage was nearly 800 million VND, fortunately there were no human casualties.
Currently, Thanh Binh District Police are coordinating with Thanh Binh District People's Procuracy to conduct a crime scene investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
