According to initial information from Ha Long City authorities, the fire broke out on the 2nd floor of the factory of Van Luc Electronics Company, located in Cai Lan Industrial Park, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City.
The fire broke out at around 2:00 p.m. on December 18, creating a column of black smoke that covered the surrounding area.
Immediately after receiving the report at 14:08, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) of Quang Ninh Provincial Police mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene.
At the scene, other forces also participated in the fire fighting work such as: Cai Lan Industrial Park Specialized Fire Fighting Team, Bai Chay Ward Police, Ha Long City Police Fire Fighting Team, Ha Long Electricity, B12 Oil Port, Thang Long Thermal Power Company, Mine Rescue Company.
The units quickly coordinated to deploy measures to control the fire and ensure safety for the surrounding area.
Immediately after the fire broke out, leaders of Quang Ninh province were present at the scene to direct the fire fighting work.
By 3:30 p.m., the fire was under control. According to initial reports, this was a gas pumping and fire control workshop. At the time of the incident, workers were working. However, upon seeing the incident, the workers moved out safely. Therefore, it was initially determined that there were no human casualties.
Forces are continuing to deploy fire fighting measures and determine the cause and damage.
