Quang Ninh - Ha Long Tax Department has collected a debt of more than 1,000 billion VND from a business in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

According to the Ha Long City Tax Department, in 2024, the unit issued tax debt notices to over 231,000 cases and decided to enforce account collection for 684 taxpayers.

In particular, the temporary suspension of entry and exit for 99 individuals who are business representatives has been announced. Thereby, the debt collection amount has reached over 1,216 billion VND.

Among them, the debt of Tri Duc Hotel Joint Stock Company (located at Zone 2, Ha Long Street, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City) is over 1,000 billion VND (including one-time land rent and late payment).

It is known that previously, this enterprise was always on the list of large and long-term land rental debts of the tax authority.

In early 2024, Tri Duc Hotel Joint Stock Company owed land tax of up to 941 billion VND, and other taxes and fees of 500 million VND. It is known that Tri Duc Hotel Joint Stock Company was granted business registration number 5701767853 and officially started operating from July 14, 2015.

This enterprise is the investor of a luxury hotel and condotel complex located on Ha Long Street, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City.

Since the beginning of the year, the Quang Ninh Tax Department has issued hundreds of notices of temporary exit suspension to the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security, due to tax debts. Many cases were later lifted after completing their tax obligations.

Currently, there are still thousands of cases of tax debt, including businesses that owe hundreds of billions in taxes.

In 2024, Quang Ninh's total budget revenue will reach more than VND 55,000 billion. Of which, revenue from import-export activities is estimated to be more than VND 17,000 billion, equal to 133% of the central budget estimate, equal to 128% of the provincial budget estimate, an increase of VND 3,600 billion compared to the plan from the beginning of the year. Estimated domestic revenue for the whole year of 2024 is VND 39,000 billion, equal to 91.5% of the provincial budget estimate.
