According to the representative of the leader of Ngu Phuc commune, Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province, at around 8:00 p.m. on October 21, a large fire suddenly broke out at Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited in Ngu Phuc commune.
The fire broke out from scrap piled outside, right in front of the company's factory area, and quickly spread to other surrounding scrap piles.
At nearly 9 p.m., two fire trucks from the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Search and Rescue Police Department of Hai Duong Province Police were mobilized to approach the scene and extinguish the fire.
By 9:30 p.m., the fire had spread and burned into a factory specializing in plastic production.
Thanh Phat T&T Construction and Trading Company Limited is a company specializing in recycling scrap and manufacturing plastic panels. Previously, this company was fined by the authorities for violating regulations on ensuring fire safety.
