From October 19 to November 3, at Hai Duong Museum, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong in collaboration with the Eastern Antiquities Association organized the first special exhibition of the Quintessence of Eastern Antiquities - Hai Duong. The exhibition featured more than 800 antiques from 60 collectors inside and outside Hai Duong province.
At the exhibition, 2 out of 11 national treasures of Hai Duong province, currently preserved and displayed at the provincial museum, namely Huu Chung bronze drum (recognized by the Prime Minister in 2015) and Hiep An brown flower ceramic jar were also introduced to visitors.
At the same time, on October 19, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Eastern Antiquities Association announced the Prime Minister's decision to recognize the National Treasure - Hiep An brown-flowered ceramic jar from the Tran Dynasty.
The Hiep An brown-flowered ceramic jar from the Tran Dynasty was recognized as a National Treasure by the Prime Minister on January 18. This antique was discovered in Hiep An Commune, Kim Mon District (now Kinh Mon Town) in 1981. This is an original, unique artifact with a unique form and is a unique, rare work of art; a symbol of the peak development of ceramic art from the Tran Dynasty, reflecting the ideological, religious, and belief values and aesthetic level of the era of creation; the Hiep An brown-flowered ceramic jar is a typical evidence that contributed to creating a distinct tradition of the traditional Vietnamese ceramic craft in the 13th century.
At the exhibition, many collections of antiques of special value such as: the collection of Nguyen Dynasty embroidered shirts and gold medals and gold pendants of collectors Pham Van Nhan and Nguyen Thi Tuyet; the collection of lacquered cards of collector Vu Van Hoa; the collection of signed porcelain in the style of the Le - Trinh and Nguyen dynasties; the collection of Nguyen Dynasty enamel and many other typical antiques and antique collections were displayed for the first time to serve the public.
To promote the values of the antiques preserved in the province, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong to develop a plan to absolutely protect the safety of two national treasures, the Huu Chung bronze drum and the Hiep An brown-flowered ceramic jar from the Tran Dynasty; immediately implement the project to renovate and upgrade the system of warehouses, general artifact storage warehouses and the storage warehouse for the two national treasures according to the provincial museum repair project approved by the province.
Research and implement periodic special preservation, periodically report on the technical status of national treasures at the Museum; promote the value of two national treasures associated with propaganda to protect and promote the value of cultural heritage in the province to the public, especially the young generation.
