On March 16, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 1 promptly rescued 5 people trapped in a fire that occurred at a resident's house in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

At 3:35 am on the same day, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 1 - Fire and Rescue Police Department received a fire report at address No. 77 Yersin Street, Ben Thanh Ward. Immediately after receiving the information, the unit quickly mobilized many forces and specialized vehicles to urgently go to the scene to deploy fire fighting and rescue work.

When functional forces approached the scene, the fire occurred in the 1st floor area, generating a lot of smoke and toxic gas inside the house, causing many people to be trapped on the upper floors, unable to escape on their own. Faced with the dangerous situation, officers and soldiers of the unit urgently deployed reconnaissance teams, searched for victims and organized rescue and relief.
