On the morning of January 2, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Thong Nhat - Vice Chairman of Dong Cuong Commune People's Committee said - at about 11 pm on January 1, a fire occurred at the cassava residue workshop of Van Yen Cassava Factory, in Cau Khai village, Dong Cuong commune.

Immediately after receiving the news, Dong Cuong Commune People's Committee promptly directed the local forces, and at the same time coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police force of area No. 4 (Van Yen) to quickly deploy fire fighting work.
After more than 1 hour of firefighting, the fire was basically controlled. By about 3 am on January 2, the fire was completely extinguished.


The fire did not cause any casualties, property damage was mainly part of the factory, and the cost of remediation and repair is estimated at about 90 million VND.
Currently, the police agency is coordinating with relevant units to conduct scene examination, investigate and determine the cause of the fire.
Dong Cuong Commune People's Committee continues to monitor and direct relevant units to overcome the consequences, ensuring stability and safety in the area.
