On April 21, information from the People's Procuracy of Region 2 (Quang Tri province) said that a house fire had just occurred in the area, causing property damage.
Accordingly, at about 3 am on April 20, 2026, Mr. T.M. H (born 1978, residing in Tan Loi village, Kim Dien commune, Quang Tri province) discovered a 2-compartment wooden house, tiled, surrounded by wooden planks of Mrs. D. T. D (born 1947, Mr. H's biological mother) on fire.
Immediately after that, Mr. H shouted for people around to help put out the fire. At about 4:30 am on the same day, the fire was basically controlled and extinguished.
However, the fire completely burned down the entire house. Many assets in the house such as lawnmowers, 2 TVs, wooden cabinets and other household items were burned and damaged.
After receiving the report, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Tri Provincial Police coordinated with the People's Procuracy of Region 2 and related units to conduct scene examination and verify the cause of the incident.
According to initial assessment, total property damage is estimated at about 20 million VND.
Currently, the fire is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
