Initial information at around 2:30 p.m. on April 21, a tragic fire broke out at a multi-storey house located deep in alley No. 1 on Dang Thuy Tram Street (Ward 13, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City), killing an old man.
Immediately after discovering the fire broke out in a 3-storey house, many people quickly used on-site fire extinguishers to put out the fire, but failed because the fire spread quickly.

Upon receiving the emergency report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force of Binh Thanh District quickly arrived at the scene, deployed rescue measures and extinguished the fire. After a period of effort, the fire was controlled.
However, the fire caused heartbreaking consequences when an old man was confirmed dead in the fire. The victim's identity has not yet been announced.
At the scene, the roof of the house was covered in thick smoke, and in front of the house were scattered with broken glass.
By the evening of the same day, the authorities, including PC07 Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police and professional units of Binh Thanh District, were still investigating and clarifying the cause of this tragic fire.
