On the evening of February 12, functional forces completed the scene examination of the apartment that caught fire on the 16th floor, building C of PH apartment building (Nam Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province).
The bodies of the two victims have been taken out of the apartment by functional agencies and transferred to the morgue of Khanh Hoa General Hospital to conduct an autopsy to clarify the cause of death.
Previously, at about 4 pm, many people discovered smoke coming from an apartment on the 16th floor, building C, PH apartment building.
Just a few minutes later, the fire broke out strongly, black smoke billowed dozens of meters high, spreading to balconies and corridors.
Professional firefighters quickly arrived at the scene. Many residents living in the building were safely evacuated to the ground by stairs.
Initial scene examination showed that the fire broke out from the bedroom area of the apartment. 2 victims found in the toilet died.
According to a representative of the PH apartment building management board, before the fire was discovered, neighbors heard arguing coming from the apartment and reported it to the apartment building management board.
When the Management Board force came to inspect, they discovered thick black smoke billowing out of the 16th floor corridor.
The apartment door was locked from the inside at this time, the PH apartment building management board had to break down the door to put out the fire but encountered difficulties.
As soon as the Fire and Rescue Police force of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police arrived, they quickly controlled the fire.
