Information from Hong Loc commune said that at about 1:30 pm on June 20, at a time of intense heat, a forest fire occurred in the area of Thuong Phu village, Hong Loc commune in plot 5, sub-zone 125, belonging to the production forest area in the area.
Immediately after discovering the fire, local authorities mobilized local forces to urgently extinguish the fire, preventing the fire from spreading to neighboring areas.
By about 4 pm on the same day, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished, preventing the fire from spreading to the surrounding forest area.
According to initial information, the fire caused damage to a fairly large area of planted forest, mainly eucalyptus, pine and acacia forests.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
