At noon on August 27, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, leaders of Quy Nhon Nam Ward People's Committee (Gia Lai) said that a large fire occurred in the forest area of residential group 12. Functional forces are urgently deploying fire fighting measures.
According to initial information, at about 11 am on the same day, the fire broke out in the area of forest planted trees, mainly eucalyptus and acacia that had died and dried.
The locality has mobilized hundreds of people including local forces, soldiers, fire and rescue police, along with specialized vehicles and equipment to approach the scene.
Functional forces have cordoned off the forest fire area adjacent to residential areas, ensuring safety. At the same time, forces continue to approach the high-altitude fire locations to extinguish the fire.
However, due to strong winds and dry weather, firefighting work faced many difficulties. Recorded until after 2 pm on the same day, the fire had not been extinguished, and smoke continued to rise high.
Currently, functional forces continue to deploy firefighting, and at the same time statistics on the damaged forest area and investigate the cause of the forest fire.

On August 21, a fire occurred in the Dau Voi mountain area, Cat Lam village, Hoi Son commune. Because the fire area is located on a high hill, dangerous terrain, strong winds, functional forces encountered many difficulties in approaching and extinguishing the fire. By the evening of August 22, the fire was controlled and extinguished.
On August 23, acacia forest in the Cay Coc pass area, An Chieu village, Hoai An commune caught fire. The locality mobilized about 100 people to participate in firefighting and it was not until the evening of August 24 that the fire was completely controlled and extinguished.
