HCMC - A fire broke out at a cake shop on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, District 1, with 8 people stuck and lucky to escape.

At around 4:30 a.m. on February 24, a fire suddenly broke out at a cake shop on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, District 1.

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 1 Police and Area 1 Team of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC07) quickly arrived at the scene to deploy fire fighting work.

By 5:10 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.

At the time of the fire, 8 people were trapped inside the bakery. The authorities promptly rescued all 8 people to safety.

After that, these 8 people were taken to Saigon General Hospital and People's Hospital 115 for health check-ups. According to the latest information, the health of the 4 victims has stabilized, the remaining 4 people are being treated.

The fire burned down many properties inside the house. Currently, District 1 Police are investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.
