HCMC - A leather shoe factory in Hoc Mon district suddenly caught fire on the night of the second day of the Lunar New Year (January 30), destroying many properties.

According to initial information, on the evening of the second day of Tet (ie the night of January 30), a fire broke out at a leather shoe factory located on Tan Xuan 2 Street, Tan Xuan Commune (Hoc Mon District). Upon discovering the incident, people shouted to each other to try to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

At the scene, smoke billowed high, fire spread to adjacent houses, accompanied by intense heat.

Upon receiving the news, Tan Xuan Commune Police quickly arrived to evacuate residents in the area. The Traffic Police - Order Team of Hoc Mon District Police was also mobilized to regulate traffic and coordinate with relevant units to ensure order in the area.

Afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoc Mon District Police also quickly arrived at the scene to deploy fire fighting work.

By 9:00 p.m. on January 30, the fire was basically under control. Authorities are continuing to cool the scene.

The cause and damage from the fire have not yet been determined.
