On the afternoon of January 29 (the first day of Tet), the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Binh Phuoc Province Police and functional forces in Chon Thanh town extinguished a fire at a wooden furniture store.
Initial information, at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, people discovered a fire at a furniture store on National Highway 13, through Quarter 5, Hung Long Ward, Chon Thanh Town, Binh Phuoc Province.
Local people used fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful. The fire quickly spread. The incident was immediately reported to the authorities.
According to records, the scene of the fire is a house used for the business of selling wooden furniture. The area of the fire is about 200 square meters.
The store contained a lot of wooden furniture, so the fire broke out strongly, threatening to spread to neighboring businesses.
People shouted to each other and were able to move some goods outside. The surrounding stores also quickly moved their furniture and assets to a safe area.
Upon receiving the news, fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers were present at the scene to put out the fire. By 3:00 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control and extinguished.
The fire did not cause any human casualties. However, many goods and properties were burned down. Currently, the authorities are calculating the damage and investigating the cause of the fire.
