On September 11, the Women's Union of Cuong Gian commune (Nghi Xuan district) mobilized more than 200 members to participate in processing and packaging nearly 1,500 boxes of dried fish and peanut salt to send to people in some northern provinces that were severely damaged by storms and floods.
In addition, the Women's Union of Cuong Giao commune also received 100 boxes of instant noodles, 30 boxes of milk, 20 boxes of sausages... to support people in the North.
In Ky Phu commune (Ky Anh district), Thach Khe commune (Thach Ha district), organizations and people also donated and processed many dried foods to send to people in flood-hit areas in the North.
Mr. Nguyen Kien Quyet - Chairman of Ky Phu Commune People's Committee - said that in the past two days, organizations, individuals, philanthropists and people have also personally processed, donated, and carefully packaged hundreds of kilograms of dried shrimp, dried fish, and squid... to send on volunteer buses to help flood victims in the northern provinces.
Mr. Phan Xuan Mau - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Khe commune - informed that people in inter-family group No. 11 - Dong Giang village directly donated, processed, and packaged 5kg of dried fish with garlic, 20kg of bean salt, 2kg of shrimp with garlic and many other necessities such as instant noodles, mineral water, candy, milk... to send to support people in flood-hit areas in the northern provinces.
In recent days, many associations, groups, units and individuals in Ha Tinh have called for donations of money and necessities to help people in the North affected by natural disasters.
On September 11, the agencies: Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, Office of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, Committee of the Fatherland Front of Ha Tinh Province, Ha Tinh City People's Committee, People's Committee of Cam Xuyen, Can Loc, Thach Ha, Vu Quang, Loc Ha districts... launched a campaign among all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to support the people of the North who suffered losses due to natural disasters and floods.
Responding to the call, thousands of people joined in to support and share the difficulties and great losses of the people in the North.
Previously, Ha Tinh province also decided to allocate 2.1 billion VND from the reserve budget to promptly support people in the North.
