Lang Son Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Economic - Technical Report on the repair of the foundation, road surface and works on the section Km19+366 - Km24+800, National Highway 4B.
The project is invested by the Department of Construction, using state budget capital.
The project is implemented on the section from Km19+300 to Km24+800, belonging to Loc Binh commune.
The total investment is more than 23.8 billion VND, of which construction costs are more than 21.49 billion VND; construction investment consulting costs are more than 1.38 billion VND; project management costs are more than 409 million VND; the rest are other costs and contingency funds.
According to the approved decision, the repair aims to handle damages on the route, increase the lifespan of the structure, improve exploitation capacity and ensure traffic safety.

The road after being repaired also contributes to improving connectivity, serving trade and socio-economic development in the region.
On the existing road surface, the construction unit will repair damaged positions, then pave and reinforce the entire road surface with C16 compact asphalt concrete.
Sections of old asphalt concrete road surface that are slightly cracked will be scraped, the roadbed will be cleaned, the abrasive layer will be watered and restored with C19 asphalt concrete. The treatment area is about 3,933 m2.
For heavily damaged locations, subsidence, deep cracks, the old roadbed and surface will be dug and treated, restored with crushed stone and C19 asphalt concrete. Implemented volume is about 239 m2.
The project also handles the expanded road surface with an area of about 3,444 m2. After local repairs, the entire route will be compensated for and the road surface will be reinforced with C16 asphalt concrete, with a volume of about 33,345 m2.
In addition to the road surface, the project also invests in a system of longitudinal ditches with load-bearing covers in locations without drainage. The ditch has an aperture of 0.6 m, the bottom and body of the ditch are made of reinforced concrete, and the load-bearing ditch cover is 15 cm thick.
After constructing the road surface, the road painting system will be restored with heat-resistant reflective paint.
The route is supplemented with lane separation lines, road edge lines, speed bump lines and reflective nails at dangerous curves.
The project belongs to group C, level IV traffic works. Implementation progress in the period 2025 - 2026.
Lang Son Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to implement the next steps according to regulations.
