Implementing the policy of continuing to arrange and streamline the organizational structure of the political system, Lang Son province is urgently implementing preparatory steps for arranging villages and residential groups.
The current review results show that there are more than 1,400 units that do not meet the standards for household size, and are subject to consideration for arrangement according to regulations.
In April and May 2026, communes and wards in the province urgently conducted reviews, statistics and reported on the current status of villages and residential groups; and at the same time developed preliminary arrangement plans to serve the overall work and advise competent authorities for consideration.
According to statistics, the whole province currently has 1,646 villages and residential groups. Among them, there are up to 1,340 villages that have not reached the minimum scale of 150 households and 97 residential groups that are not enough 300 households according to current standards.
These are units that must be studied and considered for arrangement to ensure compliance with the requirements of streamlined organizational structure, effective and efficient operation.
To create unity in the implementation process, currently Party committees and authorities at all levels are promoting propaganda and mobilizing cadres, party members and people to understand the purpose and meaning of arranging villages and residential groups.

Thereby contributing to raising awareness, creating social consensus, ensuring the implementation of policies takes place publicly, transparently and on schedule.
The arrangement of villages and residential groups is expected to contribute to streamlining management focal points at the grassroots level, improving the operational efficiency of the political system, and at the same time creating more favorable conditions for state management, socio-economic development and serving the People in the new period.
