Hanoi - Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang visits and encourages workers working at the Tu Lien bridge project construction site and inspects the project construction progress.

On February 10, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang and the working delegation visited, encouraged and wished Tet to officials, engineers and workers working at the Tu Lien bridge construction site - one of the key projects in the capital's key transport infrastructure development plan.

At the construction site, Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang inquired about the living situation, working conditions and listened to the construction progress report from the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and representatives of relevant units.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee especially acknowledged the unremitting efforts of the team of engineers and workers - those who "work day and night, work throughout Tet" to ensure the progress and quality of the project.

Encouraging and sending New Year greetings to workers and laborers at the construction site, Comrade Vu Dai Thang emphasized the importance of safe construction, ensuring technical criteria, and at the same time wished the Project Management Board and contractors to continue to closely coordinate to overcome the remaining challenges. City leaders always pay attention to and create the best conditions for workers to feel secure in their work, to be fully cared for in terms of social security and welfare during Tet.

Tu Lien bridge project is considered a new symbol at the northern gateway of Hanoi, playing an important role in expanding urban space, connecting inter-regions and reducing traffic pressure on the system of bridges across the Red River.

After starting construction on May 19, 2025, the construction contractors have arranged 12 construction teams.

It is expected that the unit will complete the main bridge pier foundation in March 2026; complete the drilled piles, pier foundation of the Duong River overpass, steel bridge over the Ta Duong dike in June 2026; strive to complete the project and open traffic in the second quarter of 2027.

On the same day, Standing Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan visited and wished Tet to units and inspected the progress of the Hanoi Opera House project and the Dang Thai Mai street expansion project (Tay Ho ward) on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

At the Hanoi Opera House, a representative of the investor said that the project is being implemented synchronously. Tay Ho Ward People's Committee has been drastic in site clearance and handed over clean land to facilitate project construction.

Phu Tay Ho parking lot was also handed over by the ward to the investor to have space for quick and timely deployment.

The Group also invited a supervision consulting unit, a famous group from England, to ensure the quality of the project. According to the investor, the project is expected to be completed in 18 months.

At the Dang Thai Mai road expansion project, the investor said that the total length of the route is about 1,260m, starting point from Tay Ho villa area and ending point intersecting with Xuan Dieu road. The cross-section of the route ranges from 20.5m to 93.6m, including the roadway, sidewalks, landscape axis, drainage system, technical infrastructure, lighting and green trees. The total investment of the project is about 552.7 billion VND, of which site clearance costs account for more than 391 billion VND.

Tay Ho ward authorities are continuing to accelerate site clearance, drastically deploying construction to basically complete the project in June 2026, contributing to completing traffic infrastructure and embellishing the landscape of the West Lake area.
