At the destinations, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee presented gifts, encouraged and commended cadres, engineers and workers working on the North - South expressway construction site through Ha Tinh.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province also asked the contractor to speed up construction progress and take advantage of favorable weather before the flood season approaches.
During construction, it is necessary to ensure labor safety, environmental sanitation, traffic safety and avoid affecting people's lives and activities.
The Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway section is 35.28km long with a total investment of 7,643 billion VND, passing through Duc Tho, Can Loc and Thach Ha districts, invested by Thang Long Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport), constructed by a joint venture of Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex) and Corporation 319 - Ministry of National Defense.
Currently, 50% of the contract value has been reached and the contractor is also striving to complete the project by April 30, 2025.
To ensure the proposed progress, the contractor plans, arranges human resources and construction machinery during the holidays.
The Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway section has a total length of 54.2km, passing through 3 districts: Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen, Ky Anh, divided into 2 construction packages with a total investment of 9,734 billion VND.
The project is undertaken by a consortium of contractors Xuan Truong Construction Private Enterprise - Tu Lap Construction Company Limited - Joint Stock Company 471 - Construction Joint Stock Company 368.
Up to now, the construction volume of the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway section has reached 55% of the contract value.
Specifically, the roadbed excavation and embankment work has reached 95%, and 20km of asphalt concrete has been laid. The contractor is striving to complete the roadbed and drainage system construction by September 15 before the flood season.
To meet the requirement of shortening the construction time by 8 months and ensuring traffic opening on April 30, 2025, contractors are focusing on continuous construction throughout the September 2 holiday.
