Hanoi - Transerco - owner of the Shark Dock building proposed that the Hanoi People's Committee direct the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to promptly issue a decision to reclaim the land.

According to a recent report by Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco), this unit said that it has completed the relocation of facilities, equipment, and assets out of the building and officially terminated all business activities in the building.

Transerco is ready to hand over the status quo to the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District in accordance with the direction and conclusion of the People's Committee of Hanoi City.

Transerco requested the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to promptly issue a decision to reclaim land and a decision approving the compensation and site clearance plan so that the unit has a basis to immediately carry out the handover of the building according to regulations.

At the same time, it approved Transerco to terminate all financial obligations on land at the above business location, according to Transerco's proposal.

Transerco also requested the Tax Department of Region I to support and guide the unit to carry out legal procedures to complete the termination of financial obligations regarding land at the above land point according to regulations.

Earlier, on March 19, the Office of Hanoi People's Committee issued Document No. 137/TB -VP announcing the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Sy Thanh City on the implementation of the planning and investment projects to renovate the space in the eastern area of ​​Hoan Kiem Lake and the design and renovation plan of Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square, Hoan Kiem District.

In this document, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh agreed on the progress of the Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square Area Investment and Space Renovation Project. Accordingly, site clearance will be completed on April 30 and investment and construction of the above-ground part will be completed on September 2.

"Strive to complete the demolition of the Shark's Den building and clear the site before December 30," the document stated.

As of April 21, according to Lao Dong, businesses in the Shark assemble building such as Aldo, HaNoi 1930 Bistro, Highlands Coffee, King of Fish cakes, Laika cafe have all announced that they will stop receiving customers. Shops have begun to clean up to hand over the site and transport furniture out of the Shark Hamlet.

However, to date, the demolition of the Shark Dock has not been carried out.
