Although the Seal Opening Ceremony took place at midnight, many people chose to go early to avoid jostling and have more time to worship and sightsee. Functional forces and organizers were arranged at many points to divert traffic, guide people to arrange ceremonies in the right places, ensuring security and order.



Ms. Quach Thu Hang (a tourist from Thanh Hoa) shared: "Every year I try to arrange to return to Tran Temple on the seal opening day. Our group went so early to have time to sightsee and enjoy Spring. I came to Tran Temple to pray for peace for my family and hope for smooth work in the new year.
Seal opening is an ancient custom held at the Tran Dynasty Temple (ancient Thien Truong Palace), with the meaning of praying for national prosperity and people's peace, world peace and prosperity, and all families enjoying the seal blessings "Tích phúc vô cương". The Tran Temple seal opening ceremony has long become a major festival every early spring, attracting tens of thousands of participants.
This year, the Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival Spring Binh Ngo 2026 will be held from February 27 - March 4 (ie, January 11 - 16 of the lunar calendar).
In which, on the 11th day of the first lunar month (ie February 27th), the Ngoc Lo palanquin procession ceremony will be held; on the 12th day of the first lunar month (ie February 28th), the Water procession and Fish worshiping ceremony will be held at Co Trach Temple; on the 14th day of the first lunar month (ie March 2nd), from 10:15 PM to 10:40 PM, the incense offering ceremony will be held at Thien Truong Temple; from 10:40 PM to 11:10 PM, the seal palanquin procession ceremony will be held from Co Trach Temple to Thien Truong Temple, and from 11:15 PM to 11:15 PM, the seal opening ceremony will be held.
During the Seal Opening Ceremony, the Festival Organizing Committee will close Thien Truong Temple to ensure the solemnity of the traditional ritual.
From 1:50 am on the 15th day of the first lunar month (ie March 3), the seal palanquin festival will be held to Co Trach Temple; from 5 am, seal distribution will be organized for people and visitors from all directions at 3 Giai Vu houses, Trung Hoa Temple Exhibition House.
On the 16th day of the first lunar month (ie March 4), the Thuong Nguyen ceremony and ancestral worship ceremony of the Tran Dynasty are organized.
