On the morning of March 2nd, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province organized a meeting between voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly, candidates for the People's Council at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
At the conference, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with candidates for National Assembly deputies of the XVI term, constituency No. 1 of Lai Chau province (including communes: Muong Kim, Khoen On, Than Uyen, Muong Than, Pac Ta, Nam So, Tan Uyen, Muong Khoa) met with voters and campaigned for elections.
Representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Than Uyen commune introduced a summary biography of the candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the candidates for the People's Council of Lai Chau province for the 2026-2031 term. The candidates successively presented a heartfelt and responsible action program to the delegates attending the conference.
Speaking before voters, the Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed that they will regularly maintain close and intimate relations with the people; periodically contact and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people, promptly report to the Party, reflect to the National Assembly, propose to the Government and competent agencies, and at the same time, supervise and urge functional agencies to promptly resolve legitimate petitions of voters.
Along with that, it is necessary to be close to the grassroots level, grasp the actual situation, and promptly propose to the National Assembly to promulgate laws, mechanisms, and policies that are suitable to reality and in line with the people's wishes, especially policies related to the comprehensive development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas so that people can increasingly fully and comprehensively enjoy the achievements of the renovation cause.
She also continued to closely monitor the socio-economic development situation of Lai Chau province to work with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to act as a bridge between the locality and the National Assembly, Government, ministries, departments, and central agencies in supporting, creating conditions as well as solving and removing difficulties to serve the development of the province in the coming period.
According to Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Lai Chau still faces many difficulties, lacks investment resources for development; socio-economic infrastructure is not synchronized, the rate of poor and near-poor households is still high, some backward customs and habits still occur in some remote and isolated communes, and security and order in some areas still contain potential complexities... These difficulties are currently barriers affecting the province's development process.
Vice Chairman, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that they will make efforts to accompany the province to propose to relevant central agencies to effectively implement policies to support investment and development in the province.
Especially effectively implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
At the conference, voters in Than Uyen commune highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the candidates in developing the action program.
On this occasion, Ms. Ha Thi Nga presented 20 gifts to policy families, reputable people and households in difficult circumstances in Than Uyen commune.
