On March 25, the authorities of Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district confirmed that the ship named Thanh Hung 06 had been partially cracked after being stranded on the coast of Bai Thong, Vinh Truong village.
Accordingly, from March 22-24, visitors who came to take souvenir photos at Thanh Hung 06 ship will notice signs of cracking on one side of the ship.
The deterioration and damage of the Thanh Hung 06 ship is not beyond many people's expectations due to the erosion of the sea weather.
After recording the cracking of Thanh Hung ship, Phuoc Dinh commune authorities advised people and tourists not to approach the ship to avoid danger to themselves.

As Lao Dong reported, the ship is named Thanh Hung 06, owned by Thanh Hung Real Estate Trading Company Limited (length 79.8 m, total engine capacity 1000 CV) with a displacement of 4,563 tons from Ho Chi Minh City. According to the report of Phuoc Dinh Commune Border Guard Station, the Thanh Hung 06 ship ran aground on Phuoc Dinh coast for more than a year and a half.
On February 26, 2023, the Thanh Hung 06 ship sailed from Nhon Trach/Dong Nai port to Cam Ranh/Khanh Hoa port. When the ship reached Bai Thong area, it had a problem with the steering wheel loss.
The weather at that time was big waves, strong winds (about level 7, level 8), so the boat drifted and ran aground on the coast. Currently, the ship's bottom has been punctured, flooded, and the steering wheel has broken.

At the time of the accident, there were about 500 liters of oil on board (in the oil tank). The owner of the vehicle made plans to pull the ship off the shore but could not, so he pumped oil out of the oil tank to avoid the risk of oil spills.
Thanh Hung Real Estate Trading Company Limited (vehicle owner) has sent representatives to coordinate with the locality and functional forces to discuss the rescue plan to pull the Thanh Hung 06 ship out of the stranded location.
However, after having a plan, the cost of rescuing the ship from the stranded location was large, combined with the loss of Thanh Hung Real Estate Trading Company Limited, unable to pay the rescue costs. Since then, the towing of the ship from the stranded location has not been carried out.
