The project to relocate Binh Hung Hoa cemetery, the largest golden land plot in Ho Chi Minh City, is entering the decisive stage when Binh Tan District announced that it will start construction of Tran Dai Nghia Primary School in April 2025.
At the 26th expanded Executive Committee meeting of Binh Tan District Party Committee (on the morning of April 3), District Party Secretary Huynh Khac Diep said that the relocation of Binh Hung Hoa cemetery, phases 1 and 2, has been completed. The district is urgently implementing procedures to start construction of Tran Dai Nghia Primary School on the cleared land.

At the same time, the locality is also coordinating to carry out the procedures for grave in phase 3 and invest in infrastructure and schools in the cemetery area. According to the plan, the concentrated grave of grave in phase 1 and phase 2 has implemented smoothly, up to now, the progress of both phases has reached over 99%, with 31,468 tombs that have been loaded and relocated. The remaining cases of about 120 tombs, expected to complete the grave collection before 30.4 this year.
According to Lao Dong on April 4, around the cemetery, adjacent to Tan Ky-Tan Quy road and Binh Long road, Binh Tan district has erected a fence around the reclaimed land and posted information about each stage of the excavation. Going deeper inside, the district is completing the relocation of more than 10,000 remaining graves.


Currently, the grave robbing work is going smoothly, the groups of workers work quickly and hand over the ashes to relatives. Many families have proactively contacted the Binh Tan District Compensation Board to register for the grave robbery.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (residing in Binh Tan District) said: "I see workers carrying out the relocation work quite quickly. People also hope the project will be implemented soon.

A representative of Binh Tan District People's Committee said that the district has proactively contacted relatives with graves in the project to mobilize relocation. The district also supports the preservation of ashes at the cemetery management office while waiting for the construction of an ashes storage house.

In addition to building schools, Binh Tan District is also promoting other key projects such as renovating Go Cat landfill. The district aims to collect over 50% of the budget and disburse 30% or more of public investment in the quarter.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Tan District, the centralized robbery was assigned to the City Urban Environment Company, under the supervision of the City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) and the Binh Tan District Medical Center.

The relocation of Binh Hung Hoa cemetery and the construction of a school is an important step in developing infrastructure and improving the quality of life for people in Binh Tan district.
