THANH TUẤN |

Gia Lai - Knowing that he was wanted and could not escape, Phong surrendered to the police to receive leniency from the law.

On February 24, at the Chu Pah Commune Police headquarters, subject Vo Minh Phong (born 2000, residing in Chu Pah commune) surrendered due to involvement in a criminal case.

According to the case file, Vo Minh Phong was wanted for the act of "Giving a vehicle to a person who does not meet the conditions to drive a road vehicle" under Arrest Warrant No. 2102/QDTN dated June 17, 2024 of the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Uyen City Police (former Binh Duong province).

Currently, the case is being investigated by the Investigation Police Agency - Ho Chi Minh City Police. Previously, Phong had handed over a motorbike to an acquaintance without a driver's license, leading to a traffic accident that killed a person in Tan Uyen City.

After being prosecuted, the subject left his place of residence, causing difficulties for the investigation process. After receiving it, Chu Pah Commune Police made a record in accordance with regulations, completed legal procedures and handed over Phong to the Investigation Police Agency - Ho Chi Minh City Police for further investigation and handling according to their authority.

Previously, in Chu Pah commune, the commune police force also coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, Gia Lai and Quang Ngai Provincial Police to review and arrest Pham Anh Tai (nickname Tai den, born in 1990), a suspect in the case of using a gun to rob a bank that shocked public opinion in Hoi Phu ward, Gia Lai province.
