According to the Ministry of Public Security's electronic information portal, on a tourist trip from Laos to Vietnam through Nam Can International Border Gate, due to language barriers and not being familiar with the area, 2 Russian tourists got lost in western Nghe An.
At about 6:20 pm on February 22, Muong Xen Commune Police (Nghe An province) received a report from people about 2 Russian citizens straying in the area. Immediately after receiving the information, Muong Xen Commune Police urgently coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 2 to quickly arrive to verify and grasp the situation.
Notably, through actual verification, the 2 citizens did not have money on them to continue moving to Hanoi as planned, leading to many difficulties, confusion and anxiety.
With a spirit of responsibility, dedication and humanity, the Muong Xen Commune Police force promptly supported and arranged safe accommodation and meals, helping the 2 citizens stabilize their psychology and health. At the same time, coordinated to exchange and guide necessary procedures to ensure smooth further movement.
By the morning of February 23, based on the wishes of the 2 tourists, Muong Xen Commune Police and Traffic Police Team No. 2 supported contacting vehicles, helping the 2 Russian tourists move to Hanoi safely.
Not only helping, the Immigration Management Department of Hue City Police recently said that the Aviation Security Team promptly returned a handbag containing many important documents and valuable assets to a lost international tourist at Phu Bai International Airport.
At about 0:35 on February 19, while on duty in the arrival terminal area, the Aviation Security force discovered and received a handbag forgotten by a passenger. Through inspection, inside the bag were many personal papers and important assets, especially necessary papers for foreigners when staying and traveling in Vietnam.
Determining that this is an important asset, functional forces urgently coordinated with relevant units to verify owner information. After a process of reviewing and contacting, Hue City Police successfully connected with Mr. H.L. J (Australian nationality) when this tourist was traveling in Quang Tri province.
Verification procedures are carried out quickly and in accordance with regulations before handing over all assets to the owners, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the Vietnamese People's Police force in the eyes of international friends.
