On July 4, Cao Bang Provincial Police held a press conference to inform about the situation and results of police work in the first 6 months of 2026 and key tasks for the last months of the year.
In which, the force has ensured absolute security and safety for important political events, especially the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The unit also investigated and uncovered 110 cases of social order crimes, reaching a rate of 99%, and handled 234 subjects.
Regarding drug crimes, the Provincial Police discovered 209 cases with 311 subjects, seizing 21 bricks of heroin, more than 1kg of synthetic drugs, an increase of 46.1% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, functional forces discovered 220 cases of economic, corruption and position crimes, an increase of 18.2%; 77 cases of violations of environmental law, an increase of 92.5%.
In the fight against high-tech crime, the Provincial Police discovered 37 online gambling cases with 40 subjects.
At the same time, handling a case related to 68 subjects using cyberspace and electronic means to appropriate property, with a total initially determined amount of about 2,300 billion VND.
Cleaning of national population data and total residence review reached 100%; updated voter data reached 99.92%.
The Traffic Police force strengthened inspection and handling of violations, the number of cases handled increased by more than 50% compared to the same period, especially alcohol concentration violations increased by 159%.
The movement "All people protect national security" continues to be promoted with nearly 2,000 propaganda sessions, attracting more than 165,000 participants and launching 7 more models to ensure security and order at the grassroots level.
The Provincial Police have reviewed and simplified 28 administrative procedures; the rate of receiving and resolving online public service dossiers reached 99.47%, and the level of people's satisfaction reached over 98%.
In addition to professional tasks, the police force also coordinated to implement many social security activities with a total budget of over 5 billion VND.
With the achieved results, 144 collectives and 385 individuals throughout the force were commended and rewarded at all levels. In particular, Cao Bang Provincial Police were honored to be awarded the First-class Military Exploit Medal by the President.
Colonel Luong Van Thiem - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police - affirmed that in the coming time, the police force will continue to synchronously deploy solutions to maintain political security and social order and safety.
Focus on fighting crime, especially high-tech crime, building communes without drugs, and at the same time promoting digital transformation, administrative reform and replicating self-management models on security and order, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
