On July 4, Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee said that it had sent a quick report to the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee for Exams, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the organization of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.
According to document No. 171/BC-UBND dated July 3, 2026, signed by Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc, the 2026 high school graduation exam in Tuyen Quang province has 18, 218 registered candidates, including 17, 017 students studying in grade 12 and 1,201 independent candidates.
The grading work was organized for 71,416 exam papers, including 17,896 essay exam papers and 53,520 multiple-choice exam papers.
After the press informed about the exam results at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School exam site, the Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Police to inspect and objectively assess the situation and proactively provide official information in a spirit of urgency, verification and clarification, there are no forbidden zones, no exceptions, and handle violations to the extent they occur.

The Department of Education and Training urgently directs the Tuyen Quang Provincial High School Graduation Exam Council in 2026 to review and inspect the entire exam organization process, especially the implementation of regulations on exam supervision, preservation of exam questions, exam papers, marking, grading, score entry and management of exam data.
Redraw all Math exam papers that achieved a score of 10 to check if there is any phenomenon of corriging answers or intervening to raise scores. Check the transcripts of all students who achieved a score of 10, analyze and specifically evaluate the Math academic performance through each school year.
The Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and the Exam Council to review and verify information and data related to the exam organization process.
Arrange and assign forces to work with each student, each invigilator in the Math exam rooms, protect the outer ring where many students score 10 in Math to promptly detect abnormal signs.
Verify the relationships between exam supervisors and candidates. In case signs of violation of exam regulations or illegal acts are detected, promptly verify, investigate, and strictly handle them according to the provisions of law. Do not let the situation of covering up or letting criminals escape occur.
Also according to the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, preliminary review results at the exam site with information that Math scores were unusually high showed that there were 329 candidates registered to take the Math exam, but only 328 candidates took the exam (1 absent). Among the total number of candidates taking the Math exam, 146 candidates achieved a score of 10; 150 candidates had scores from 9 or higher, and the rest were below 9.
Currently, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police have assigned professional departments and functional units to send forces including 60 officers and soldiers to conduct inspections and reviews of relevant stages.
