On the afternoon of May 26, Major General Nguyen Huu Hop, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Da Nang City Police directly inspected the drills to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting and rescue to serve the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2026.
The drill mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers of the City Police to participate, deploying forces in key areas such as the main stage, stands, fireworks display yards, bridges across the Han River, central roads and command information centers serving the festival.
Major General Nguyen Huu Hop directly inspected the work of leading delegations, traffic diversion, target protection, crowd control, and solutions to complex situations in terms of security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and rescue in many key areas.
At the same time, requesting units to continue to carefully review each plan, closely coordinate between forces, absolutely not to let passivity or surprise occur throughout the festival.
At the inspection, the Director of the City Police also thoroughly instructed all officers and soldiers to strictly comply with the regulations of the People's Police, maintain etiquette, standard demeanor, and behave civilized and friendly with people and international tourists; promote the spirit of responsibility, strive to complete assigned tasks well, contributing to building a beautiful image of the Da Nang Police force in the hearts of the people.
The Director of the City Police acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness of the units participating in the exercise; and at the same time encouraged officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties, strictly maintain the duty regime, ensure personnel and vehicles to be ready to effectively handle any arising situations.
According to the plan, DIFF 2026 will open on May 30 and last until mid-July with the participation of many international fireworks teams, expected to attract hundreds of thousands of people and tourists to visit and admire.
Previously, Da Nang City Police had organized many conferences to thoroughly grasp and review plans, and closely coordinate with functional forces to ensure absolute security and safety for the festival.
