On the morning of May 15, Da Nang City Police launched a peak period of crime suppression and law violations on the streets. The campaign takes place from May 15 to July 15 to ensure security and order (ANTT) in the city. Especially preparing to welcome the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 and the peak of the summer tourism season.
According to Da Nang City Police, although the security and order situation in the city is basically maintained, there are still potential risks from crimes, law violations, affecting people's lives and the tourism environment. Therefore, this campaign focuses on acts such as theft, robbery, property destruction, young people gathering to cause trouble, using weapons, and illegal racing.
On this occasion, Da Nang Police set 9 key targets, including: mobilizing the political system to participate in prevention and fight against crime; prevent political subjects taking advantage of the situation of causing security loss; reducing at least 10% of criminal cases compared to the same period, especially crimes of theft, robbery, intentionally causing injury and destruction of property; strengthen management of subjects under the law; strictly handle the situation of teenagers gathering causing disruptive and illegal racing; destroying complicated venues of crime and social evils; drag and reduce traffic accidents on all three criteria (number of cases, the number of deaths, the number of injuries); ensure security and safety for DIFF 2025 and summer tourist season; Tighten discipline in the police force.
Some key solutions are implemented including: inspecting and managing subjects according to regulations; promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws; increasing patrols and controls, especially from 22:00 to 16:00 the next morning, on key routes such as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, 2/9, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Le Duan...; destroying criminal gangs.
Da Nang City Police affirmed that they will implement the peak period seriously, drastically and effectively, but at the same time ensure no inconvenience to people, businesses and tourists. The ultimate goal is to maintain security and order, building the image of "Da Nang - an attractive, safe and livable destination".
