As of 11:30 a.m. on November 23, officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Duong Police were still trying to control the fire that broke out at a company specializing in manufacturing thousands of square meters of wooden furniture in An Tay Ward, Ben Cat City.
According to initial information, at around 10am on November 23, while workers were working in the factory, a fire suddenly broke out. Workers quickly put out the fire on the spot, while others moved their belongings and ran outside.
Upon receiving the news, Binh Duong Police dispatched 17 specialized fire trucks and 80 officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. Because the factory contained mainly wood and flammable materials, the fire spread quickly. The soldiers divided into many directions to control the fire.
At the scene, the smoke column was tens of meters high. The large fire burned many raw materials inside the factory.
According to the report of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Duong Police, at 11:30, the authorities were still focusing on controlling the fire.
The burned area was about 1,000 m2, the fire caused no human casualties.
