Gia Lai - The first 2 houses in the Quang Trung Campaign were quickly rebuilt by the police force, helping people have a new home to welcome Tet.

On the afternoon of December 23, Gia Lai Provincial Police held a handover ceremony for the first two houses in the Quang Trung Campaign, out of a total of 20 houses funded by the Ministry of Public Security and directly built by the Provincial Police, to help people affected by storms and floods in Gia Lai soon stabilize their lives.

The two houses were handed over to Mr. Pham Dinh Ba (born in 1970, residing in Hao Le village, Tuy Phuoc Bac commune) and Mr. Tran Thanh Thuan (born in 1968, residing in Kieu Dong village, Xuan An commune).

Mr. Pham Dinh Ba's house started construction on December 5 and was completed after a short time of construction. Previously, his old house was completely collapsed during the historic flood. Mr. Ba is in difficult circumstances, sick and lives alone.

In order to share the difficulties with Mr. Ba, Gia Lai Provincial Police coordinated with the South Central Mobile Police Regiment (Ministry of Public Security) to mobilize forces to support the reconstruction of a solid house with an area of nearly 50 square meters.

At the handover ceremony, Colonel Duong Van Long - Deputy Director of Gia Lai Provincial Police - said that the unit has mobilized resources, organized urgent construction, ensured the quality of the project, helping people settle down soon and celebrate Tet with peace of mind. The total cost of supporting the construction of the 2 houses was nearly 200 million VND, from the provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the provincial Police and the contribution and mobilization of the commune Police.

Receiving the new house, Mr. Pham Dinh Ba emotionally thanked the forces for timely support, helping him soon stabilize his life after the natural disaster.

Mr. Tran Thanh Thuan's house was also completed after 20 days of construction, ensuring a solid structure, meeting living needs and safety against unfavorable weather. Mr. Thuan expressed: "This is a great source of encouragement for the family to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives".

In the coming time, Gia Lai Provincial Police will continue to coordinate with local authorities and related units to speed up the construction progress of the remaining houses, ensuring the planned quality, contributing to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and stabilizing social security.
